Serious girl
My inspiration for this picture was to show how emotions can be varied through shading and crosshatching. It was also my inspiration to show how eyes quickly draw attention and emothion.
The process i used was to first grid off my small page and then to grid my bigger page. Then i started to sketch it out and then i came in and started adding details
Pointe Shoe
My inspiration for this picture was to show how dance can be a big part of some peoples lives and how it is a very fun thing to do.
The process i used was to first do my four sketches and then i started to firstly start out by sketching out the shoe and then i took pen and ink and started to shape it off and making lines to show the shape of the foot and the shoe and then i went back and started adding details.
Dance Life
My inspiration for this picture was to show how in dance there is a lot of different shoes and you definitely have a lot of different movements in art and also in dance.
The process i used was to do my four sketches and then i practiced with the different types of charcoal and then i started to sketch it out on the paper and tried to focus on the life/still life of the drawing.
Sleep Paralyses
My inspiration for this picture was to show the fear that some people have once they fall asleep and they can not wake up as a scary creature is trying to wake them.
The process i used was to first start off by first taking my one color which was purple and making many shades of purple by using the monochromatic process/technique.
Hair in space
My inspiration for this picture was to show how you can compare a female with the world because we have the world in our hands.
The process i used was to do my four sketches and then i started by adding the wash to the background and then i went in and started paining bigger areas and then i added masking fluid to certain areas and painted smaller details in lastly.
Pink Lips
My inspiration for this picture was to make pink lips for breast cancer. It shows how to be strong and that you are beautiful no matter what you're going through
The process i used was to do my four sketches and then i practiced with the different types of pastels and then i started to layer a lot of colors on to of each other and scraping the oil pastels off and adding more and more colors.
Smoking Metaphor
My inspiration for this picture was to show how smoking can kill you and how you are slowing killing yourself with bad habits.
The process i used was to do my four sketches and then i started by drawing my ashtray and then i drew on bullet and traced it multiple times. The i added my hand and the cigarette. Lastly i used charcoal and added the smoke coming from the cigarette.
Girl in time
My inspiration for this picture was to show how you can take something old and try and make it new and beautiful.
The process i used was to do my four sketches and then i started to add a lot of small pieces of cassette tapes and started to add details and then i started to curl hundreds of pieces of cassette tape for the hair. Lastly i hot glued do the cassette tap holders to the poster board and then i glued the pieces of tape to two separate parts of the piece.
